The ESA Member's Service Prize

Prize winner	Year	In recognition of...
Craig James	2010	His important contribution made to the operations of the ESA, both as past president and his central role in organising the INTECOL10 Congress, and the development of operational initiatives within the Society, including the Jill Landsberg Trust Fund and Scholarship.
Kris French	2008	Her significant contribution to ESA Council particularly development of the student research grants and awards program
Ross Peacock	2007	His outstanding contribution and efforts with the Australian Forestry Standard as an ESA representative.
Chris Pavey	2006	Long term involvement and outstanding contribution to the Society, particularly in his role as Treasurer.
David Keith	2005	His commitment to coordinating the annual student prize judging and awards at the ESA conference, and many years service on the ESA Council
A.O (Nick) Nicholls	2004	Long term involvement in the production and delivery of the quarterly ESA Bulletin to members

Objective:
To recognise outstanding contributions to ecology made by Ecological Society of Australia (ESA) members, either within the ESA or the wider Australian community, when acting on behalf of the ESA.

Eligibility and Assessment Criteria:

All financial ESA members, excluding current paid employees, conference organisers and council members (unless making a contribution beyond their position portfolio) are eligible for the award.

Procedure:
Nominations are called for from ESA members, who can suggest a suitable candidate.
Please fill out the nomination form (available for download below).
Nominations are to be submitted to the President of the Society. Two ESA members (excluding the candidate) are required to sign the nomination form.

The Council reserves the right to not award the prize in any given year, if they feel the criteria have not been achieved.

The Prize:
The President will present the winner with a cheque for $500 and a certificate at the annual conference.
