Announcing ESA 2019 - in Launceston, Tasmania
Ecology is the science of interactions among all forms of life and the abiotic environment they inhabit, and in turn, change and shape. Applications of ecology are all around us every day, in natural resource management, forestry, fisheries, agriculture, water production and conservation biology. These applications demonstrate the importance of ecology in seeking to understand and explain our Earth, and how humans can better co-exist with nature in an increasingly anthropogenically-modified environment.
The theme for this year's conference is Ecology: science for practical solutions.
The list of symposia for the Conference has now been released and features sessions on Urban Ecology, Landscape Management in the Tasmanian midlands Phytophthora, invertebrates, science in practice, practitioner engagement, Tasmanian facial tumour disease; art & ecology, overabundant macropods, Indigenous Knowledge Systems, plant-soil interactions; and more.
