Online Exhibition - Thomas Hunt

Growing up in the Adelaide Hills, Thomas has been a keen nature lover all his life and always has his binoculars and camera at hand on any adventures in the field. He is a PhD candidate in the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of Adelaide, studying the responses of woodland bird communities to habitat degradation along the Murray River and has a keen research interest in ornithology, terrestrial ecology and ecological processes. These passions have sent him to all corners of Australia as a wildlife watcher and scientific researcher. Between bird banding in the Riverland, vegetation surveys in south-west Western Australia, studying cockatoo behaviour in Cape York and getting thigh-deep in mud to sample invertebrates in the Coorong, he has been lucky enough to experience the many delights of Australia’s incomparable natural history. Very occasionally, he has captured photographs showcasing these spectacles while he’s out there too.
