Funded post-graduate research opportunity with University Sunshine Coast and EcoSmart Ecology: Distribution and ecology of Pseudantechinus mimulus

EcoSmart Ecology and the University of the Sunshine Coast are seeking a suitable student to undertake post-graduate research on Pseudantechinus mimulus (Masters or PhD considered).  The research, which will include a large field component, will be conducted in north-western Queensland and nearby Northern Territory.  This position is funded with a generous stipend and will be part-time or full-time (to be negotiated).  Only students with previous field experience and demonstrated ability to work independently in remote locations will be considered.

We are seeking two motivated people to join our research team based at the School of Biological Sciences, the University of Western Australia (Perth). You will work within multidisciplinary teams involved in a range of projects studying the impacts of land management, particularly water extraction on in-stream and riparian biota, and the distribution and impacts of grassy weed invasion on fire behaviour.  The positions will require significant amounts of time in northern Australia.
