The Ecological Society of Australia (ESA) is a not for profit professional membership organisation that has been promoting and coordinating ecological research across Australia for over 50 years. The Online Media Manager’s primary role is to maintain the ESA’s website and social media accounts, assist with marketing to members through email campaigns, and advise on strategic direction for all ESA’s online media channels.
ONLINE MEDIA MANAGER
ESA is the peak body for Ecologists within Australia and is a membership based professional learned Society. An effective Online Media Strategy will enable better and more timely communication with members, but also the capacity to reach a wider cohort allowing ecological networks to grow beyond our direct membership specifically to practitioners, media and policymakers.
ESA currently has accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and Linkedin and would like to expand to Instagram. We would like to develop an integrated online strategy that complements our current strategic direction and more effectively allows our members to interact with their Society and each other.
- Is a paid casual position, approximately 20 hours/week
- Works closely with the Media Working Group, ESA Board, & Executive Officer to manage the Society’s online communications and public outreach;
- Contributes to the development and delivery of an integrated Online Media Strategy
