Field Officer – Tarcutta Reserve

This is an exceptional opportunity to make a very real contribution to the protection of the Australian bush.
Bush Heritage an independent not-for-profit that buys and manages land, and partners with Aboriginal people, to protect our irreplaceable landscapes and magnificent native species, forever.
Our vision of healthy country protected forever sees us work where we’re needed most: in areas of high conservation value with low levels of protection. With the help of our donors, we protect and help manage more than 8 million hectares, providing habitat for almost 6000 native species, including at least 239 threatened species.
About the role
You will be responsible for undertaking and coordinating projects, as well as engaging with variety of people including Traditional Owners. You will be responsible for delivering activities associated with a three-year grant agreement and Management Plan. These activities will include revegetation, weed management, pest animal control and ecological monitoring, as well as managing contractors and meeting procurement, reporting and administration tasks associated with the grant. You will also be responsible for equipment and infrastructure maintenance, WHS, fencing, track and access maintenance, and supporting engagement activities with volunteers, neighbours and donors.
You will have a passion for conservation and practical work experience in land management and natural resource management coupled with demonstrated ability to work independently.
