Public consultation on the assessment of the ‘Tuart (Eucalyptus gomphocephala) woodlands and forests of the Swan Coastal Plain’.

The Tuart woodlands and forests are being assessed for potential listing as a threatened ecological community under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act).

The Threatened Species Scientific Committee’s draft Conservation Advice and a consultation guide can be downloaded from the Department of the Environment and Energy’s website at: http://www.environment.gov.au/biodiversity/threatened/nominations/comment/tuart-woodlands-forests-swan-coastal-plain

We would greatly appreciate your input, particularly on whether the ecological community is eligible for listing as ‘critically endangered’.  We will provide all submissions to the Committee and to the Minister for their consideration.

We are able to accept comments until Wednesday 13 December 2017.
