Applications are open for the 2019 Jill Landsberg Trust Fund Scholarship – a $6,000 grant to support the field-based research of a postgraduate student working in applied ecology.
In 2007, the Ecological Society of Australia established the Jill Landsberg Trust Fund and this award in memory of Jill Landsberg.
Since then, the annual award has supported postgraduate students studying chemical cues to control cane toads; the population viability of the swift parrot; urban ecology of Sydney’s insectivorous bats; water availability in the arid zone; and more.
The scope of research is open to terrestrial, marine and freshwater ecology. You can read about the work of previous recipients here.
Members of the ESA who are studying at an Australian university and are able to attend the ESA Conference in 2019 and 2020 are invited to apply.
Applications close 30 March 2019.
