Expressions of Interest are now open to ESA members who’d like to become ESA Envoys to engage more with their local MPs.
The role of Envoys is to represent the broader Australian ecological community, inform MPs on ecological matters, and be their contact for ecological questions.
ESA Envoys are volunteer roles, and Envoys will receive training and support from the ESA and ESA partners in things like: science communication, understanding the policy cycle, and how to arrange meetings with Parliamentarians.
ESA will also provide information resources and talking points to help Envoys, and through the Policy WG will provide ongoing mentoring and coordination for the Envoys.
Expressions of Interest close 24 December.
