ESA Membership System – Activation Instructions
ACTIVATE YOUR PROFILE IN THE NEW ESA MEMBERSHIP SYSTEM

The email address associated with your ESA membership is the username that will be required when activating your profile in the new system. You will have received an email to that email address notifying you of this change to our systems.
Please note: Your ESA membership status will either be ACTIVE (you are a financial member) or EXPIRED (your membership has lapsed). This status will become known to you as you follow the activation instructions below.

- Click on the ‘MEMBER LOGIN’ button
- Enter your email address (the one this email notification was sent to as it is the one currently linked to your ESA membership).
- DO NOT Enter a password. Select ‘Forgot my password’
- Enter your email address. A password reset link will be sent to this email (make sure to check ‘Spam’ folders). If you have not received it within 10 minutes, email or for assistance.
- Click on the reset link in your email.
- Reset your password.
- You will be returned to the login screen. Please enter your email address and new password once again.
- A message will appear asking you to verify your email. This is important as it will set up a 2-factor security authorisation of your ESA membership account.
- Click on VERIFY your email address
- Re-enter your email address.
- Return to your email and copy the 6-digit code that was sent there, then return to the login screen and paste the code into the portal (please note this code is time sensitive). Each time you login, a 6-digit code will be sent to your email for verification before allowing you access to your membership record.
- Click on ‘Continue to the site’
At this point, if your membership has expired you will be taken to a screen to renew your membership. Please complete any relevant details required on the membership form, select your payment type and, once renewed, you will be able to login and access the membership portal as an active member.

AFTER YOU HAVE ACTIVATED YOUR MEMBERSHIP
- Go to the ESA Member login page: https://member.ecolsoc.org.au/
- Click on ‘Member login’
- Enter your username (email address) and password
- Once you successfully login to your profile, click on the drop-down box on the top right to access menu options for your account.
